Darlene was my cousin. My mom, Dorothy was Helen's sister. We grew together in Indisna, but lost touch over the years. We recently reconnected on Facebook. My sympathy to all the family.

Condolences to the immediate family. Darlene and I were second cousins, my grandmother Dorothy and Darlene's mother Helen were sisters. I really wish that we all could have spent more time together as an extended family but distance has always separated us. Rest easy Darlene.

Darlene and I met years ago when she was married to Danny. I was with Danny's brother. A year or so ago when her mother passed she indicated on Facebook that she wish she had a ride to the hospital to see her mom as she was not doing well. I stepped up and volunteered to take her on a Sunday. I took her and then dropped her back off at her house. About 2 hours later she called me and wanted to thank me for taking her because her mom passed away shortly after she left the hospital. Gives me goose bumps everytime I think about it. Darlene was a beautiful lady and will be missed. My condolences to the entire family.
